What I've been stitching lately

I have been keeping up with the Frosty Forest series, managing to get each one finished before the next arrives. I will stitch the buttons on at the very end. I'm not sure that I'll like the buttons on the finished piece, but I decided to get them anyway.

Last year I was lucky enough to win Midnight Ride by Blackbird Designs and the threads to stitch it from the lovely Melissa. It is a striking design, especially with that pop of orange. I think I will finish this simply with a black round embroidery hoop (unless I can find a round box at the craft store). Thanks again Melissa!

I currently have two projects on the go. First up is French Country Baby Carriage (which I've posted about before). I just have to personalise it with the details of Annabelle's birth.

Next up is Just Nan's Little Snow (which finishes up as an owl ornament). I was quite enjoying this piece until last night, when my eyes decided that they just couldn't distinguish between the fabric and thread anymore. The colours are quite muted. I think I'll have to finish it off during daylight hours.

Hopefully I'll be back soon with a couple of finishes.

I am stitching Frosty Forest too and loving it. Your 'Midnight Ride' is gorgeous. The floss on the bird is so beautiful. I am going to have to stitch this one.

Love your Frosty Forest piece and really love the Midnight Ride! I too like the thread used for the bird- is it a variegated grey/black?

Wow, Rowyn, you've been stitching up a storm. And such beautiful projects. I love the CCN series very much, it has some very cute details. My favourite would be the BBD piece, it's just gorgeous. I'm very curious to see which finishing you choose for it.
