Two years ago today...

My niece Phoebe was born! I am not sure where the time went, but it sure has been lovely having her in the family. Here she is at her birthday party last weekend.

Phoebe's 2nd birthday party

Does anyone know of any cross stitch alphabet generators on the internet, that might be suitable for samplers? I've finished all the stitching on the Queen's Crowns but now just want to add some wording. I've had a look myself, but can't find anything suitable. Any pointers would be most welcome. Thanks!

Finally, does anyone fancy doing a pin pillow or small cushion exchange? My only request is that you have a blog yourself (after a failed Christmas exchange with a non-blogger last year). I need something to get me stitching-motivated. If there are lots of people interested I am happy to pair people up.

There is a blog where old pattern books have been transfered to stitching programs.

I think PC Stitch may still have a viewer that is a free download so you can use the patterns.

They have a bunch of interesting alphabets and borders to look through

Hi Rowyn,

Happy Birthday to sweet little
Phoebe!! Lucky girl to get a
cake with horses on it!! And
other farm animals too of course.
Looks delicious.

Hope you can find an alphabet
suitable for your Queen's
Crowns project. I'm looking
forward to seeing your finish
of it someday soon.

Hi Rowyn
I don't know if you'd be interested but I'd be happy to an exchange with you but I'd rather not stitch something for you. I'd happily do a little knitted pouch and fill it with either a beaded scissors fob or a piece of jewellery made by me. (I've got a couple of photos on my blog of pouches that I'm knitting at the moment, I don't know if something like that appeals). I don't mind if you'd rather not - just give me a shout!

I'd be interested in an exchange Rowyn, if you don't mind posting something to the other side of the world lol (UK). I need a kick in the stitching mojo at the moment
