Royal wedding commemorative piece

Well folks, today is the big day for excited Royalists all around the world...

Here is my commemorative piece all stitched up.

A royal wedding commemorative piece

It is a combination of two charts - The Queen's Crowns by Paulette at Plum Street Samplers and the wording is from Asenath Whitcomb by Carriage House Samplings.

So you don't have to work it out for yourself - MMXI is Roman numerals for 2011.

If you're interested in other excited Royalist stitchers, pop on over and see Tanya (the Sampler Girl)... she's verrrry excited. lol

Beautiful finish and I love the dedication! Didn't watch the wedding, except the part where she arrived at the church, her dress was gorgeous.

Hi Rowyn,

I see you found the perfect way
to finish off The Queen's Crowns
design. What a marvelous idea
to turn it into a commemorative
project for the Royal Wedding
of Kate and William. I love it!!

Did you get to watch the wedding
live or did you watch it in
repeats like I did. We had to
work that day of course so
could not watch it live. We
did listen to it on the radio
during breakfast and on our way
to work in the car.

I spent the day listening to
people raving about Kate's
gown and fuming because I
had not seen it and was dying
of curiosity.

Finally, on Friday night, I was
able to watch the entire wedding
on the internet. It was a lovely
ceremony and the bride and groom
looked truly happy together. And
I finally saw the dress! It was
such a beautiful dress and Kate
looked very regal and classy
in it.

Your bunny Tiggy is so sweet.
Love her black eye. We were
surprised to see a bunny in
our backyard this evening at
dinner time. It must have been
picking up the fallen bird seed
under the bird feeders. Just a
young bunny judging by the size
of it and the poor thing was
very, very wet because it had
been raining all day. So cute.
Oh, it was definitely a wild
rabbit by the way.

Cheers!
