Woah nelly...

Carol recently wrote on her blog that she has 82 unfinished finishes. This prompted me to get out my unfinished finishes and count them.

I guessed I had around 50, but I was mistaken.... I have 86!!!

I decided I may as well lay them out on my dining table and photograph them since I had them out anyway. Here they are.... it certainly doesn't look like 86 to me.

Is anyone else brave enough to count and/or photograph their unfinished finishes? If so, let me know and I will come and visit your blog!

Oh. My. Goodness. I could only dream of having that many! I have about 2 unfinished finishes and a lot of unfinished and forgotten about unfinishes! :o( Hoping to have more time for stitching now that I'm a stay @ home mum!

WOW - I am impressed with all your beautiful work! I could round up my pieces but it sounds like work and I always try to avoid work - LOL! thanks for sharing -

Wow! That is a lot of finishes. There are so many beautiful things that you have stitched. Are you going to start trying to do the finishing on some of these? Do you have a plan?

I hate finishing. I don't sew, sewing machines tend to jam if I come within 10 ft of them.

Whoa Nelly is right!!!!!! I saw Carol's post about her unfinished finishes and thought no one could top her! I'm curious about how many of them you would actually like to finish finish now?

Almost speechless! My guess is I would have about 15, perhaps I should check, I might get a shock like you have. You have stitched some beautiful pieces. Is there a plan of attack here, or will you just stitch a few more and make the century?? LOL

Oh my Rowyn - that is a stunning collection! That many unfinished? Maybe you should send off a few to Vonna to finish!
You are not going to like this but I have many WIP's and UFO's but no unfinished projects. Oh wait, I have all my Fair Squares to make into a quilt. Have the fabric - just need to get to work LOL.

Love the red dragon? Where is he from?

Oh my...What will you do with all those? My problem is that I have too many UFO's, and not many unfinished finishes. Great lot of pieces, congratulations.

Wow! Love the pics! I know I have some unfinished pieces, but they need framing and the expense is just too much. I don't think I have too many things that need finishing finishing. I think a couple of stockings and a couple of box lids. I'll let you know if I post about them. :D

That is so funny, Rowyn!! And I've seen another blogger (Shari at Shari's Sharings) who has 97 unfinished finishes!! I'm glad you two beat my number :)

That is a great idea to get them out and photograph them. Maybe if I did that it would inspire me to get a few finished. You have some real beauties there--hope you can finish up a few before year's end!

That's a lot of unfinished pieces! I think you need to set aside a finishing weekend - you'd get loads of the smaller ones done :)

I don't have as many as 86 unfinished pieces - probably around 20-30 max - and most of those need framing. Several of those pieces can be seen in my new blog header. I only have around 4-5 that need finishing in another way though (ornament, pillow, whatever) - I've been pretty good over the last couple of years about finishing things as soon as possible after stitching.

oh my!!! You are so close to me!!!!! Come on...you can do it!!!!! I actually did FINISH one of mine the other day, so my 97 is now 96! Of course, I will be finished stitching something probably tomorrow, but my husband is making a frame immediately for it, as it is a gift!(my mom ordered this from me!!!)
Thanks for visiting my blog!!!

LOL wow, you are very brave to venture into the realm of "the unfinished"!
Lovely work tho, you need to do something about these!!

Wow that is amazing Rowyn, I couldnt bear to have them lying around like that. You have done some fantastic stitching there.

Wow!! All your unfinished finishes are so gorgeous! Especially all those on the first picture. Excellent!

OH WOW! You've got some amazing pieces there but I can completely understand why they are not finished. If you had to frame say 50% of them, that would be a lot of money :o(

I don't even DARE lay mine out. But then again, maybe I don't have as many as I think I do...

Absolutely gorgeous, Rowyn. I love this kind of picture very much, there's so much to discover. And I have discovered a couple of pieces that I have stitched or that are in my stash, too.

It's not that I'm not brave enough to photograph them, it's that I'm too lazy. I've easily got WAY over 100 little smalls waiting around hopelessly to be finished. Some day.

Hmm I suspect that I may be in that ballpark for unfinished pieces. When I get home next week I'll have to dig them out LOL

Love love love all your finishes laid out like that ... it's actually quite a good way to see what you still have to 'finish' in some way ... hmmmm, I might have to think about joining you with this one ... perhaps today while my flatmate's at work hmmmm :P Look forward to seeing how you decide to finish them :)
